Gordon Ferrie

I did Fine Art at Leeds with a wild bunch of people in an experimental year. I built a gas fire kiln using ceramic fibre before the space shuttle used it for tiles. I've taught art, pottery and sculpture for many years and am now a supply teacher at two excellent schools in West Sussex.

When I'm walking by the sea my imagination takes me to an undiscovered island. Here, the indigenous peoples and culture live happily without any influence from the outside world and this inspires my artwork.
